Possessive pronouns do not have apostrophes (except when "One" is used as a pronoun).

Why didn't you just make a muzzle brake out of another length of pipe and attach it to the end of your barrel, especially if it was only for looks? At least that way, if it broke, you could just make another one. if strength was a concern, you could've made it out of a more robust material, say, steel or aluminum tubing.

That does look nice but the reason behind why I attempted to build a muzzle break was more for effect (or is it affect, POLAND? I never can tell ) than an actual purpose.

Effect is the word you want. It is effect, as in "special effects".

Affect, is what you did to the barrel, when you drilled and cut it. You affected it. You didn't effect it.

Well if I used another length of pipe I need it to fit perfectly over it, which I didn't have. I didn't have any materials for any external device and I didn't feel like spending money on any.
