It would definitely be tricky to add more to this in the wood department. I was thinking a piece attached under the barrel shroud that would slightly engage the bottle without being mechanically attached to it. It would stabilize the gun especially well if you could get it to fit the contour of the bottle and the pipe above it.

Another option would be to just make an entire shell for it. This would involve careful layout, routing, and drilling.

I just realized the bottle may fit in a 1/8 inch fittting, because the thread is really small. unfortunately I don't have a picture because I forgot where my picture-taking-device (Organic listening device in Sam and Max was epic ) is located.
To the trigger: first thanks fopr posting that diagram. SO the trigger doesn't actually do anything in the pipe there but only at the end. I thought that it was actually actuating a weird mechanism far too advanced for me to understand anyways, thanks for clarifying this.

If I finally get around to use the bottle, I will certainly <--(damn I can't figure out how to write it, dunno why though^^) be able to build something that can hold more than two shots what is my alltimebest now
