no you can't get clear sch 80 pipe that big to build a hybrid.
also if you could it would be like $200 for the chamber pipe alone
PS: learn to spell

I like the wooden mount, keeps things a little safer. I'm wondering how long it took to build? Are you putting the disk inbetween the barrel and chamber? Noisie beast aint it! NICE CANNON, I LIKE IT!!!! GREAT BUILD!!

You can get 4" sch 80 clear PVC on mcmaster. It's 140$ for a 4' chunk and only rated to 160 psi, which makes it unsuitable for a high-mix hybrid.
Nos hybrid Saftey

I did some calulations, and if you started with a 70 psi Nos-Propane mix, the final pressure would be close to 1000 psi. It would also be about 3000 degrees F. Plastic will not hold that kind of pressure (or temp), but metal will.

Yes, and the NOS would also detonate the mixture, which I doubt even the steel coud withhold without being deformed or even burst. We tend to discourage the use of oxidizers due to the hazards that they present.
I'm intrigued though, how
do you calculate thos figures?

why dont you add nitrous oxide, like on dragsters?it is an oxidizer ,and would up the power to a whole nother level of insanity
that would just be stupid pvc dont show up in x-ray but if you wana rask it ok....

Actually, people have proven that pvc does show up in x-rays. There was a topic on here a while ago.

I did some basic chemistry to get those figures (PV=nRT). However, those calculations did not include the effect of detonation or efficiency, and that probably changes everything.

Please stop kicking up dead topics to ask useless questions. That is not relevent to the topic at all.
