What pressure are you using and how good is the power? Also how many shots can you get off one fill? If you don't know the pressure, can you give me the diameter of the pump head and your approximate weight :P

The pump head is 18 mm , I weigh 70 kg, but the problem is the check valve - it starts leaking after 100 - 120 pumps and I can't reach the maximum pressure. I'm working on a new one (with a magnet instead of spring  ), so for now the power is - meh  3-4 good shots. If you have any ideas for good check valve that can be fitted in 1/2 it would be great.

Nice power description :D
I'm asking because I'm building a similar gun right now. But I should get about 20 decent shots from 400 down to 200 psi.

I'd guess that you're getting at least 200 psi with that pump...

Yep, i'm watching the progress of your project with interest. 200 psi is too much, 120 - 140 is more realistic, but my final goal is 40 bars :D i hope it wont explode in my face if i manage to get this pressure

Thank you.

I might eventually go up to 40 bar, because I know my gun can take it, and I think it's the max of my fridge compressor. But my gauge (manometer) only goes up to 400 psi :? So that's my max for now. But I might pick up a 600 psi gauge later on.

I know you guys don't really like buying from harbor freight, but my local one has a 1,600 psi gauge, for 10 bucks. 1/4" npt.

Nice job though so far Bahur. I really can't wait to see it at its full potential.

I don't mind buying from HF. Next time I'm there I'll check it out, but I really need 1/8" NPT. McMaster has em for 10 bucks also, but 5 shipping. eBay had one for 8 or 9 bucks, compact, 1/8" NPT. Exactly what I need.

Hello again guys, its time for the third revision of my rifle (now i can legitimately call it this way)

I changed the barrel with 5.5 mm from Hatsan AT44. I was planning to buy 6.25, but i found this one for a very good price. Then i had to change the whole receiver to fit the new barrel. I replaced the ugly safety valve with a Male/Female Extension Nipple and a thick threaded tube soldered together. In the nipple I installed the valve. First I wanted it to be movable and sealed with o-rings but I couldn't put it in without breaking the o-rings when they pass trough the thread of the nipple, so I glued it with polyester resin, but still it leaks a bit. Now all looks a bit more solid and clean (not much but still better than the last version :D ). I also replaced my air tank with 4 extention nipples , because the old one was leaking. I now have a manometer on my pump. I pump the gun to 12 bars ( I dont want to risk higher preassure because my check valve is self made and it can send the handle in my jaw :D ) with this preasure the gun is pretty weak but still it penetrates pine board till the pellet is fully in as you can see on the picture. The other 2 squashed pellets were shot at army helmet from 1 m distance. Can't tell how accurate it is because i dont have sights for now. With 1 fill it gets 5-6 good shots, but after 4-5 fills in a row my hands get tired and i cant shoot accurate so im looking for a compressor.

Love it :o Great job!
How much it you pay for that barrel?

Its second hand. 15 euro for the barrel and 3 for the shipment. Good that I found the bulgarian field target forum.

Nice! I like it :)
If you're looking for a compressor you can find a second-hand fridge compressor and that will give you fast, high pressures that you're looking for.

Great job, very decent outcome from limited resources, kudos!

Needs a suppressor to be more Vintorez-y though ;)

Hello again, its time for the third upgrade of my rifle. Now it has 200 bar air tank, new trigger and everything is fixed with screws - no more resin or soldering. Its much more powerful now , but also very loud. It weights 3 kg , 80 cm. long. The air tank is from hatsan at44 180cubic centimeters. I wanted the trigger to be in front of the sear so i used http://www.enfield-rifles.com/uploads/2 ... rigger.jpg this.

I want to make iron sights so if you have any ideas ... :D
