That's the one DR.

:)

Rene's plans are pretty much fool proof.

You can also check out the yahoo site that stills builds to Rene's plans

Rene's plans also came with a nice little homebuilt tool to make your own burst disks.

I think I'm just going to keep using playing cards in this one. They're easy to make, and I have a bunch of decks with missing cards.

Notice the topic is called "Burst Disc Mortar"? I meant for it to look that way. :wink:
RTFA=read the F****** Article?
At the angle in the pictures, it can launch an end cap so high it lands 100 yards away, at a 45 degree angle it shoots over twice that distance.

Nope, didn't notice. Just looked at the purty pictures. :oops: I'm trying to do 5 things at once (writing G-Code for my cnc router actually), so I'm skimming for now.
RTFA=Was meant as Reading The Full Article...but it's a matter of semantics I guess. Fark has ruined me for the rest of the sane world.

My sons bugging me to build something. Again. So my next task is a starch launcher.

Revisiting this topic:
At the grocery store the other day, I picked up some Ritz Stickz (Ritz crackers but little stick things) and they have a really good mylar wrapper. I made about 35 discs out of it, and they burst at exactly 120 psi, with full flow and no leaks. I would recommend them to anyone, plus Ritz Stickz kick ass!
