well i really want to make an MMG for this weekend because me and my friends are going to a farm and i wanted something to "chew" into stuff while im down there so i need the simplest MMG design and one that requires the least parts so i httought that just a magazine (inverted) which dropped the marbles into the airflow(continuous) i'm looking up as much as I can but i really need help.

hey thanks for all those links, mate.:D

i'm still sort of confused the ones from the spudtech archive where kinda like clouds but i wont have enough air pressuere for that i dont think i will have enough its a pump up chamber and then its released im guessin the chamber could hold about 6 litres approx. i also wonder if the idea of an inverted magazine would work with them just dropping into the flow.

i'm trying to find lots of things but im finding it kinda hard to find materials
( i'm grounded and im salvaging and looking for parts in my dad's shed.)

But thanks fo that info im still trying to see if the inverted mag idea would work ( i dont really think it would work but hey would love to be proved wrong.)

I've also made a design with an electric motor to pull back the piston which drops in the marble.

Anyway, Thanks. :toothy10:

this is the diagram for my electric version.

the trigger for the blowgun when pulled releases air but also when pulled it makes contact with the two wires which completes the circuit and turns the motor which pulls the piston out which lets another marble down and then when the motor stops turning it springs back in place for the next shot.

If you´re considering the electric route, here´s a design I've been wanting to build for quite a while - it´s not as complex as yours, there's only direct rotary motion from the motor (which lets you directly control the rate of fire by varying the rotor speed) and if your rotor is a reasonably tight fit in the chamber, then only a minimal amount of air will be wasted between shots.

YOUR A GENIUSwell with your permission may i go ahead and make your design?

I already realised that my electric design posted was flawed.I came up with a simpler design but your one is more solid my one was fragile and it would be very unreliable.
On your design i'm thinking of using a blowgunu as the valve.

Also i think ive got most of the design but i think that the air which is coming into the chamber pushes the marble out as well.

Anyway Thanks alot for these designs Jack and thanks for helping me mod my own.

With your permission id like to make the electric motor design you put forward.

You don't need my permission, feel free to make the design if you have the right materials :)

I might have a few other configurations at home, I'll post them later if I find anything useful.

I don't think a blowgun will give enough flow for a marble gun.

1) Ask the fairies for some.
2) Play the games, and get lucky
3) Put your bux in the spud bank, and earn interest on it.
4) Stop caring, it's not really important.

i cant play the games it just loads back the home page. when i click the rolll dice button.

Also jack, iv'e moved onto a belt fed idea which shoots daal wood.
I know im coming up with random ideas quickly but im keeping them for this weekend which is when ill have the oppurtunity to start modding and making(my dad doesnt let me do this stuff on weekdays).

Anyway the beltfed variant works by the belt has pieces of PVC the same as the barrel filled with the daal wood and as it goes throug the barel the air fires it.its kinda hard to explain but yeh im gonna see if that works.

First off, by “daal wood” I’m assuming you mean “dowel rod”.

As for your belt feed,
How do you plan on advancing the belt?
What will the belt be maid of; you said pieces of PVC pipe the same ID as the barrel but what holds the pieces of pipe together?
And what operating mechanism do you plan on using; I would suggest pure/un-delayed blowback/inertia operation.

Well we’re talking about MGs anybody thought about a recoil operated large bore cannon? Should be pretty easy to make work.
Call me "Judge", it's easier to type.

it works a bit like this but its like a clip you pull it through and as it goes past the airflow ,which is really a semi auto style thing it has a blowgun, it fires out of the belt(clip.) I have like a 7 litre chamber for air so i dont think its a real problem considering a blowgun wont let alot through but it is shooting only dowel rod or something like that so ill see how it goes.
