As most of us saw in a topic a couple of months ago, ABS also shattered. It was cellular core, which is the same as what you probably used. And anyway, I would much rather use DWV PVC than ABS, because I know DWV PVC can at least hold some pressure.
only the pipe is not the fittings. Also in the mcmaster book it sais"DO NOT USE PVC WITH COMPRESSED AIR OR GAS". ovcourse we do anyway but im just saying.

look . i am tired of you telling me that abs can not hold pressure, because i have hade a piece of abs pipe at 120 psi for half an hour and it is in one piece. they pressurize that pvc pipe for 5 seconds and booom , pipe all gone. and if you call that video holding " some " pressure, i call that blowing up with "little " pressure. so if you got a problem on how i make stuff go cry to ya momma or something. this is a web site for ideas and people to show off their cannons not for you to tell people lies about ABS pipe. sorry for anyone else readong this, but i am just a little mad right now.
trying to decide on a new project, probably something small.
Yeah I got 300 psi max on my pipe to mate but im not going to put that much pressuse on it coz its plastic! that stuff is gas line pipe and is great for cannons.
