No like real life paint.. I've already done some work on the pipes so I can't return them. I might as well just make it look like it's cool.

Well, generally you sand something to take the gloss off of it. Then prime it with primer. Sanding is recommended, but not required. If you do you can get a better final finish though. Then paint it. Use thin, even coats and don't apply too much too often or it will run and look bad.

Is there a way to chemically remove the gloss off the PVC?
