I think you should make the piston housing 1", including the tee.
It'll look and perform better.

But cost a lot more,plus I already have most of the pieces to make it in 3/4 and I would rather have it small and compact,aslong it is powerful enough to put some holes in sheet metal I'm happy.

Those valve are actually designed to open,sorta squishy.They are for air suspension systems and they flow slow then the flow increases the longer it's open so your car doesn't jump up when you activate the valves.But modify one and you'd have a nice valve

Yeah i've heard about them being slow and being fast, didn't BtB mod one?
