Found Brass Tubing,Now What?

I found about 2 meters of 3/4-20mm brass tubing under my house about a day ago,it looks really nice when its been buffed up so I'm thinking of using it on a launcher of course.But not just any launcher,a pimped out launcher .Copper,brass,chrome in an over under piston design sounds great to me.

Does anyone else have any Ideas what I could use the pipe for apart from a nice chamber?

This gun is actually something that is "do able" in my books now due to my next door neighbor,so a silencer is probably needed and it's not going to be overly large so it can be hidden/stored easily.

What's a magnifying glass doing in the garden, were you vapourising ants?



good find, would make a nice chamber and barrel for a high pressure over/under, keep everything metal and maybe add a varnished wooden stock, very steampunk

Thats a strainer for my fish tank gravel,the magnifying glass area is out in the direct sunlight areas ,it's been a while since I've done that

I think this is going to be used for the chamber only and 1/2 for the barrel,I would like to step into the world of high pressure small bore guns.And yes,that would count as small bore and high pressure I mean 200psi + .

I actually do have a stock lying around,and I think this would go well with it,hmmm the gears are ticking over now.

Ok I have got some fittings sorted out for my new copper/brass gun.It's going to be over under design with 65cmx20mm chamber.80-70cmx15mm barrel.Piston valve ported by blow gun and a schrader filling valve.Although I have run into some porting valve/piston housing problems,mainly it being to large and bulky which makes the gun look ugly as sin.

Here is some pictures for your delight,ohh and the pilot is not going to be that large I have yet to cut down the 1" piece of copper to joiner.

why did you increase the diameter of the piston housing? 3/4 should be sufficient shouldn't it?

I know that is oh so true,so that's why I'm going to work keeping it as small as possible and venting it as quick as possible.

A suppressor might be made as well so my neighbor doesn't go insane and fight her step lader like last night.

There could be a change in design coming as well though,I am thinking of adding two 45 degree bends to have the barrel running close to the chamber and make it a little more compact.Much like this gun made by Maxus- http://s194.photobucket.com/albums/z296 ... CF0687.jpg

coincidentally I just bought her *the ring*, not that we're engaged but it's as close to married as I'll ever be so why not. Well ok, that's well over 300 euros that could have gone towards spudding parts, but such is life

I had a lapse in concentration also known as not planning ahead. . .That and just grabbing fittings. . .I will fix that later,oh and now I can use that piece of 1" pipe for my Suppressor housing. Something good usually always follows stupidity.
