Mcmaster does sell 2 inch diameter balls and bar, so you could make some pretty devastating ammo.

I got my hands on a batch of this thickwalled aluminium pipe, 2" I.D., same as the barrel shown.
Lengths vary from 1 meter to 1.3 meter.
I can have them threaded if needed.
Anybody interested? They should make nice barrels ( smooth inside!!) and nice high pressure chambers.( hybrid?)
Remember, I'm located in Holland, Europe.
PM me.
well done paint job
You have got to be kidding!
Mcmaster does sell 2 inch diameter balls
I sell doorknobs for a living... ( among other things ofcourse)and they often come in 54 mm diameter..of solid stainless steel.
Although a Red Bull can filled with concrete would be cheaper.....

Basically nowhere without a good getaway plan..

I am speechless
(so why do I write this ??
)
I've been thinking of building a large bore gun high pressure gun for some time....
Mcmaster does sell 2 inch diameter balls and bar, so you could make some pretty devastating ammo.
lol I hope you are joking - do you know how much they cost ?!
Although a Red Bull can filled with concrete would be cheaper.....
I thought of that too

With all these Polish workers in my country, I'm sure you must know somebody who could take some of my 2" aluminium back to you..

Isn't it about time to post yours, as promised??
Okay, I will. Within a week.
There is some strange force that prevents me from posting cannons within one year of building it.
I could arrange 50mm steel rod for 30 euro/meter for you.....
I could also machine a tip on it, or make a sabot-round out of a steel rod...
In the meantime you take care of the backstop.

AFAIK most cheap spool valves and pneumatic equipment that I can get on ebay (or similar sites) were brought here by the workers
so in other words.... don't let them get close to your stuff

You really think they want to?
considering
close now means about 500 meter...
Okay, I will. Within a week.
I'm keeping count...

So....have we lost interest?
You make me double post just to show you an update...
Well, this should spark your interest:
In stead of styled flames I painted actual fire on the barrel.

That looks really incredibly awesome!
Now all you have to do is fill the take with liquid propane, stick a blow torch to the end of the barrel, and you will have real fire!
I really do like that more than the normal "fire" that people make.

Filling the barrel with coffeecreamer powder and a candle does the job as well.
I wanted to make it so beautiful it would be worth remembering.
Some smart guy told me that..

can we see a video of it firing i would relay like to see it fire some solid steel slugs as 500psi

Not likely.I don't plan on firing such solid and heavy projectiles at 500 psi.
A matter of safety.
I might try a redbullcan some time.
Any comments on the paintjob??Anyone??

Actually I love the paint! How did you get the flame effect?
