Could you enclose the inflator in such away as the exhaust air is directed through the barrel.

That would be possible but impractical and go against the original notion of this project which was a "portabel volksmaschinengewehr" of sorts that could be constructed by unskilled builders with limited resources.

Came across this online, using the same inflator model hooked up to a cloud chamber, maybe it will inspire someone to make their own machine pistol ;)

Interesting, a rather ghetto setup tho... pill bottle with high pressure CO2, I feel it could be made alot cleaner.
