It's called constructive criticism. you could solder it with a plain propane torch. Pretty much just like copper, but with a different flux. You might be thinking about brazing it.

You also need different solder to avoid galvanic corrosion. It's hardly worth learning how to solder with less readily available materials if you haven't even mastered regular copper soldering. The repair Epoxies offered that are designed specifically for Aluminum make far more sense for this application.
