Good to hear, video time!

I'll get a video posted soon, I'm still trying to smooth out the tumbler/sear contact surfaces, and cut out the half-cock* notch.

*The feature that makes old revolvers and muskets click twice when the hammer is pulled back, the first click is the half-cock position, second is fully cocked. In half-cock the trigger can't be pulled. Some say it's called half-cock because that's what you'll be left with if you manage to fire it in that position.

So here's a short clip of the action, unfortunately I haven't gotten the sear to make the nice audible "click" when it locks back the hammer, can't have that now.

You can see the hammer still isn't kicking the valve open much, however when pressurized the valve gets kicked open more, it could be the rushing air helping out. *shrug* At any rate, test shots at ~200psi have given me some fairly flat trajectories out to 200 feet.

I thought a long time on integrating a small shock pump somewhere into the stock of my gun, in the end I chose not to as the stock is already pretty hollow everywhere aside from the butt end and I wanted to keep it as slim as possible. You'd be surprised if you picked up the stock just how much of a shell of wood it is due to all the components fighting for room within it, it is however durable, I have a lot of confidence in wood lamination as I've used them in many projects including longbows and a crossbow.

Again excuse the lack of updates guys, I know you guys wanna see more updates but I'm lacking a lot of freedom lately, most of the work I've done lately has been fixes or minor things, my chamber started leaking badly so I had to totally rebuild that, took a lot of my time. I really just need to get a welder to make me a chamber so I don't have to fiddle with this damn solder and epoxy crap.

Here's a recent pic

got the trigger guard installed. Barrel lugs soldered onto the underside of the barrel so the barrel is pinned to the stock. Cherry wood darkens a heck of a lot with oxidation, which is why the back end is far darker than the front currently, front end is freshly shaped.

The new mainspring is cut from a piece of a thick putty knife so it's very strong, plenty of power to kick the valve handle open.

This will probably be my last update until I get her finished up so stay tuned for final product! :pirate:

Looking great! I feel that the power will rival that of a genuine black powder flintlock pistol.
