The problem iwith DWV is that it can hold fine one day and blow the next, where as NSF-PW fittings go day in and day out. I wish I could take back what I wrote at first, as I was a real asshole to him

so? I am painting mine camo, and I could put it on a trailer every easily, but have no need to. the barrel is too long to be easily transported anywhere. the table legs were used because they were cheap, easy, and could be folded up so I could shoot it at stuff.

jeez dont step on the guys dick dude, at least commend him on the excellent work on the paint, trailer and workmanship. The guy has only posted once its not like he's posting a ton of asswork cannons. Notice all the fittings? They are all butted together very nicely, the flame job looks better than most paint jobs o. Yes they are dwv fittings but as long as he is careful with the whole thing when its under pressure he's not gonna get hurt. Even if it does pop a fitting, the cannon is all strapped down so i dont think it would be too catastrophic (Id remote fire it still like BLB said).

Im sure lots of people have made their first pneumatic cannon using a few dwv parts and didnt know it, i think i shot a few barrels off before i figured that one out. First educate them on the two types of fittings before shitting on a nicely done cannon. I like it man it looks mean and packs one hell of a job, great work on the cannon.

no, I really like this cannon, and he does excellent work. the paint looks sweet, and the trailer is cool. I was just responding to what gort said, and what spudstuff said. this is cool, and has given me a couple ideas for improvements I can make to my gun.

how much did it cost ?

DVW fittings can easily hold up to the pressures hes using. Ive pressured tested many of them (up to 140 psi) with out any failer and have used many of them on my cannons. great desighn and yeah, those DWV fittings do add a lot to the cannon. great job.

Yes, sometimes they can... But when they dont there is a lot of blood and injuries.

the fitting usually just pops off it doesnt explode, i just saw a video on youtube of a guy blasting a DWV combustion in halv at the coupling and he was holding it next to his ribs, he walked away laughing. This doesnt mean i dont think its dangerous im just saying it doesnt cause "a lot of blood and injuries"

yeah That's what I noticed on my friend's gun too. It also seems on any gun, the solvent welds would give out before the pvc itself would (unless you open a valve to let several hundred or thousand psi into the tank in an instant)

As for Adam, VERY sweet job man. I see you went as far as using cam locks and you rigged up a sweet pilot sytem. Great find on those huge valves. Though you did use DWV fittings which aren't intended for this pressure, I assure you that it is fine. I have never had that problem. Just don't use DWV for making piston assemblies.

So I can use DWV on a pneumatic at 90 psi? should do? I'll test some this week.
