Is it possible that those skrews are protruding too far into the inside of the tee? That would restrict piston movement.

i never thought of that being the problem il open her up soon and take a look and do some measuring but here's a concept iv being working on

(the dark green tube not labeled in the diagram is 1/4 300psi bit of air hose)

hey thx for all the pics experament-u2 they helped me understand how a piston works. now i can try to make one but i think mine will have a trigger release in the back. it will lock forward in the sealed position and spring loaded to open. maybe. anyway thx.

Open question --

How much pressure do you think the epoxie will hold?

well, jack has successfuly taken epoxie to 400 psi. but that was an itsy bitsy glob. i would guess you should be good around 80.

Nice to see someone else veering away from standard parts and getting their hands dirty with epoxy, looking good U2 :)

If I could make a suggestion though, this is how I put the seal on the barrel of my small 3/4" pistons (making another one at the moment ;) )

The diagram should be pretty much self explanatory.

so the sealing face is on the barrel not the piston?
or is there one on both?

oh and off topic what is your display picture jack?
EDIT: i just noticed its a tablet of some kind

the sealing face is on the barrel only, a bit like my pengun project.

My display picture is a pistol cartridge in a pill packet, made it from a photo entitled "sleeping pill".
