i agree.......

well, i gave into my temptation and did this again INSIDE in my workshop..... i forgot to put my earphone things on before doing it, and WOWOWOWOW its loud...... i swear to god it made permanent hearing damage, like you just said.......

i wish i had caught it on video.... it was more impressive than the one i did outside.... all the dust in my room was lifted off the surfaces and made the room all cloudy, and all the ceiling tiles moved out of there places, not to mention the nearby bag of paintballs had a good 200 or so shattered from what i beleive is either the concussion or a flying peice of plastic.

i dont reccomend recreating these results without hearing protection at the least..........

You hadn't learned already??? Geez you must really like booms. That's understandable. If someone else was in the house they could've had heart attack. BTW 2-Liters go off with much deeper bass.

One time I poured some beer into a glass pint flask shaped bottle and had it in my pocket and later it went BOOM.
Beer went all over my coat but the glass shards didn't penetrate my coat pocket.
Luckily I had a buzz from the pint(vodka) so I was just like, crap!!!

I am rethinking using soda bottles at all now.(Interested for weight savings)
Also I am thinking a good test for pvc shards would be to break up pvc to various sizes and load a wadding into the barrel and the various pvc shards and shoot them at various targets to test penetration.
I would guess they won't be very lethal. 8)
