Boom, I spy a 20lb bag of LDPE plastic injection feedstock in the shop. Who knows where this leads.

Sounds good but accuracy/damage? I'm guessing if you hit something out to 100 yards then hroup size has improved

Thats probobly not gonna draw much interest from the viewing audiance as they cannot see the launcher or target anywhere in the video, nice sounds though.

That is pretty awesome! I assume the blur I see in the upper left corner is the bullet, am I right?
If so, it looks like it is staying straight and flying really fast.
I'll be ordering some when I finish my gun, no doubt...

Thanks for your responses, yes blur in upper left is the round. Tough to get a good video that encapsulates firing these. From Shooter POV the shot fires, loud too, and as the round is leaving you can see the tail slighty wagging. It is dead on course though and this 520 is a smooth bore. Up til now we've only fired at close range for damage, but this was much more impressive. I think that 3'-6' groups at 100 yards is feasible. We fired our 417 with the UHMW and initially not as successful. Rounds were curving inside of 20'. I believe the muzzle brake (or lack there of) to be the biggest factor... we fired the rounds with the 417 backwards and they were on target. I think the recess was "catching" un-uniform gas blow by upon barrel exit instead of "coasting" straight.
You guys should just come down here and try it out already. There's a beach here too.

I've been there twice before you were in business.

You are surrounded by beach. I would love to make it out there again. Maybe have a friendly shoot out..

Yeah my brother has been wanting to see Hawai for a long time now(he's seen too many movies with hot, half naked dancing chicks) and now I have a reason to go that doesn't involve fishing or diving...Would be cool!

I think you had better get to hiring some "trade show quality" female production employees as one of your fringe benefits!

We cut some muzzle vents/brakes and the 417 now shoots the same as the 520. I'll post pics later tonight when I leave the shop.
