Jack, you really are a god umungst men haha. I ggdted my results of a pellet with my gun. got 900fps at 500psi.....yes 500psi. Wayyyy further then I plan on going. Maxing out the shock pump at 300psi I reckon would be good enough for me. But that speed at 500psi is rather crappy I reckon...

I do my best ;P

With the HVBB I had managed a single 400 psi shot with a lead pellet chronoed at 652 feet per second before it started to leak and I shelved it. Not an amazing near-supersonic velocity, granted, but it does a lot more damage than a 0.12g BB at 1100 fps ;)

Unfortunatly that link doesn't work too well. the pictures don't come up but yeah...I can imagine that the pellets would be better. They are heavier, fly straighter and hit harder. I might get myself some off ebay but if I can get the .25 pellets, I'll get em. Having to flair out the skirts on the .22 pellets one by one is just too much of a pain staking process hahaha.

Curious, how quick does a authentic .22 air rifle shoot pellets anway?

pictures can be found in this thread.

I tried 0.25 pellets, they're a bit bigger than 6mm so you have to roll or swage them down a bit, plus the skirt is heavier so they tend to tumble.

Yeah I was thinking that. Hmm... All in all, your plan of flairing the skirts on the .22 is the best idea. With a well made "pellet flairer" so to speak, it wouldn't take much time to do a pile in a hurry. I'll make up a rig to clamp the pellets. If I have any luck, I'll let ya know mate. Well I'm off to bed. Have a good one and thanks alot for the advice. :thumbright:

For typical 16 grain pellets, usually around 600 feet per second. My Daystate Mk.3 does 900 fps :D
