I feel like I'm talking to myself...
I just "aged" the goldlook...Looks pretty cool but it looks quite different from the Nerflauncher you showed, Jsr.
I'll upload some new pics later..
Anyway...
I just got the okay to take her to an actual
gunrange!!!
Not the airgun kind either..
Seems I've been correct about legality of airpowered launchers in my country...
As long as it doesn't resemble a modern firearm...There is no law against it (on private property )
Original blackpowder guns are legal for an adult to own without any permit , therefore mine resembles a legal item.. but unlike an working modern BP "copy" this
isn't a firearm ..so again...it's legal without a permit)
makes me very happy!
I'm hoping to get a chance to catch it on video.
Probably not a big deal in North America...but over here it's quite exceptional..

Sweet! would be interested to see the accuracy and power at say 100 metres.

Ho my god that is a peace of art! It realy seem to be a real flintlock, well done.
If it is for your son and i red you're concerned about the power of the gun, you could use a system wich can regulate the spring tension, like i've done in my hamer valve gun. That's work realy well.

I would really like a valve diagram i am just not getting how it works, by reading.( I don't read many books unless someone is getting shot at in about every 3 pages reading informal stuff is not my forte)

later...I meant..later-later
Accuracy at say 100m...that's their riflerange..I'll most likely be visiting the pistolrange with it.
And I'm just hoping I can hit the backwall somewhere...maybe.
I'd be surprised If I could hit the targetsheet at all.

I have spoonfed two boys...I'm happy we're past that phase.
read this:
It's a coaxial pistonvalve.
A hammervalve pilots it.
Not much more to it.

Ho?
You talkin'to me?
I was going for a percussion type look..
monitoring the pressuregauge seems to work well when it comes to controlling the power....
But thanks anyway.
A leak caused me to take her apart ( several times) to fix-..then fix the failed fix...refix...
I finally managed to get it right after a 6 hour night of work.
It was still holding pressure his morning.
can't fail now ...off to the gunrange in...3....2....
Wait...get the camera....1.......LATER!

I'm sure you will, I could hit a 200 litre steel drum regularly 100 metres away with my HW45, and that was doing less than 600 feet per second with tiny 0.177" pellets.

+1!

I used rubber ( toy) bullits..I hit the target at 25m ...no problem.
unfortunately...they're too light to go through.
The target was pretty danged up and covered with stickers to cover the previous hits...I couldn't tell where I had hit.
I could see the target swinging gently after a hit though.
The guy that got me in let me empty 3 mags of his Ruger .22 wich was pretty cool concidering I got tighter groups than he did.
Although he emptied his mag round after round while I took time to actually aim.
Then again, he's a rifle-man.
He got to fire a .375 boltaction rifle, firing a FMJ- 6 cm long projectile.
The muzzleflash was ...impressive...to say the least .. and I could feel the shock in my chest...
Good times!
I didn't get much on vid.Processing it right now.
Lil'Shat was still plagued by a leak...probably the hammervalve itself.Hard to tell where a hiss is coming from wearing earmuffs ...and a beretta 92 and a 1911 are hurling lead downrange in the booth next to you..
Here's a couple of teasers anyway:

Why not more hardcore projectiles?

Nice misfire face towards the end

The lead slugs I had made using a spare piece of the barrel did not fit ..??
Roundballs would have naturally gone in but the flared out muzzle probably caused the slugs to mis-aline and jam.
That wasn't a misfire....
And I did use a little more hardcore projectiles.
A couple of dozen.

Nice, is that a Ruger Mk.II?
My life will not be complete until I own one of these:

Mk.III actually......
Your life not being complete until you get it .....doesn't mean it will be complete once you do own it.
It simply means your life is not complete.
Anyway...fixing the leak ( yeah) made me take LS apart...
I'm hoping to get her back together this weekend ...If I don't I won't be getting 4000 euro's for it.
