Breach load

Hello all,
I have seen many breach load guns. I know how to make the breach load but can't figure how you would get the potato the right shape??
do you need a wide barrel or a pre cut spud?

Note: I have not tryed to make a breach load on any of my guns yet.

I use pre cut spuds with my breach loading copper gun. Make it simple and use precuts.
