Has any one managed to hook up an hpa tank to a gun?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

This has been done many, many times. Just regulate it.

Get a regular tire chuck. It should have 1/8"npt threads, which is also common for regulators.

I've done it with unregulated Co2 but I manually fill the chamber with a ball valve for efficiancy.

You can buy a Stabilizer reg for Palmers Pursuit. They are perfect for this application, but they are a little pricey.
Summer Projects:
CO2 tank hybrid: Gotta fix the meter :(
Cane gun: Needs a pilot/fill setup
1.5" piston valve gun: Almost done

I'm sorry. This link will give you more information on what an air chuck is.

As far as hooking it up, simply press the end of the chuck to the tire valve. Other than that, the best way to hook it up would be to not use a schrader (hook directly).

Tippman has a cool little adjustable inline bottle reg that looks promising for spudgun applications. They seem reasonable enough.27 dollars on ebay and $10 shipping.I know I'm soon going to adapt my setup for an on board air system.

I have never found the air outlet piece for the regulated output on the regulator. In order to just use the regulated output on the regulator, you need to plug the unregulated output with a 1/8" galvanized pipe plug (male threads). The threads on the regulated output is 10-32. Drill a hole through a 10-32 3/4" screw and make an adaptor.
