Fan Clips

I really liked Latke's chamber fan clips, so I decided to give a crack at it. Mine definately don't even come close to Latke's but they work so... woo hoo. All you need are some metal bands that hold bricks together (any local hardware store should have these). I used two plyers to bend the clips into shape. Hope to dip the ends in rubber... but not quite sure how, anyone know how that could be done? cheers

Id wrap them in electrical tape its would keep them from moving but still be easy to take in and out.

True... but I would like to dip them in rubber because it would make for a cleaner look, especially since I have a clear chamber. Anyone know how to "dip it in rubber"? Liquid rubber?

Ask your hardware store people if they have "plastidip", it's used for coating tool handles.

Could you explain your power supply a bit I can see a 9V and 2 1.5V. I guess you hooked 'em up in a serie?

He used the one nine volt battery and a two one and a half volt batterys so that he could get 12V (most fans are made for 12V but for our use 9V will work). Technician did you come up with your own design or is that one that you found on a site? I would suggest that you start a new topic with a description and possibly some schematics. Looks Nice!

Sorry bout that! The schematic has now been resized. Once you click on the thumbnail and bring up the full size image, then hit refresh so it will clear your browser's cache and force it to load the actual full-size picture. You can then print the schematic and easily use it.

BTW: I substituted the Radio Shack 275-709 switch for a McMaster Carr 7400K72 switch, because the switch is much more compact.
