Okay ive seen the plans of how to build a propane meter, but how do i get the propane in the chamber? I assume you use a valve stem for tires, but how would i put that in the chamber without worrying about it getting blown out when the gun fires?

thanks

What kind of meter are you thinkging about? For a traditional meter that uses a pipe, two valves and a pressure gauge, a valve stem isn't usually used. Though it can be...

So, must give the typical link to one of Latke's pages; linky.

It is possible to install a tire stem into a chamber. For a typical stem designed for use on a car rim you need to drill the appropriate size hole then install the stem from inside the chamber. If you have a 1/4 NPT tap you can tap a whole in the chmaber then buy a 1/4" NPT threaded tire stem (someitmes hard to find, check your hardware store near the compressors or order one from McMaster).
