A new combustion that's almost finished, probably the last gun for quite a while. I have loads of pneumatics and a few combustions (and two hybrids, although one's blown up) sitting around, but I've decided I'm going to make this one big, good for anything, portable combustion gun, just so I have a gun that I an shoot anywhere anytime, using almost anything as ammo.
The sparkstrip is done, it just needs to be mounted. It may look ghetto, but it is actually very functional and is much easier to do than etch a copper sheet or put 8 screws in the chamber.
The fan is also done and set up, and just needs to be mounted.
I have the chamber done, except I need a 4" coupler.
The propane meter is done, and made from 100% spare parts. I didn't even need to get any nipples or anything, I had it all there. And no, the green steel parts will never stop popping up everywhere. Notice the detachable propane filling? Just a propane adapter (super cheap at Ace hardware, only $6!) and a spare female QC.
The venting system is the coolest part. Using Gort's idea (which I had also thought of a really frickin' long time ago) and spendin $1.50 seemed quite a bit better than blowing almost $30 on a 2" PVC ball valve. This system is spring loaded, a small modification of Gort's. You press it down, hold it for a few seconds with the fan running, and let go, and it pops into place and seals.

thats awomse, I hope to start working on my computer desk. Its so cool cause its galvinized metal. But when I test sparkers on it, the spark jumps up to my laptop and it freezes. but ya back to the subject The propane adapter rocks! That gives me good ideas. Keep up the good work!

I've seen the check-vent valve used before, but none of them ever looked so... ghetto! Or accomplishable.
At least you have a workbench. I work on the floor. But it's okay because it reminds me of kindergarten.

Kindergarten is the second grade of school you go to when you're little. You can start off with Pre-K if you want, then there's Kindergarten. I don't even think we had desks in that grade. Maybe my school was too po' then.
It does hurt your neck after a while, though. I would like to build some sort of workbench/desk stretching along the wall this computer desk is on, out of plywood glued together with Liquid Nails, but I've only got a year left here before I move off to college.
