new magazine idea

Hi all,
I came up with a new idea for a magazine and i was wondering what u think of it. I have a modded sprinkler valve w/ a blowgun attached so i came up w/ the idea of using the air thats vented from the sprinklervalve to push a round(aka mini marshmallow or foam pellet) up into the barrel. I would attach a hose to the blow gun and the other end of the hose would go to the magazine( a tee in the barrel ). I'm going to try it out later today so I'd appreciate any comments. thx.

It may work, but I would think that the timing may be off. Maybe you could put a spring in the magazine to push the ammo up (using harder ammo, of course), then have the vented air cycle a bolt, which would allow another round, like a conventional rifle.

I have a spring loaded magazine system on my other gun that shoots bouncy balls but I was just hoping this would work so that i wouldn't have to worry about reloading because it would do it by itself. I think the timing issue may be a problem but i have a feeling it will push the round up after it fires so if i just start w/ a round in the barrel it will fire that one and push the next one up so its ready to fire.

Give it a go and see what happens. If it works, it sounds like a good way to conserve that spent air.
