benstern, thats not true, ive never seen that diagram. sure, ive made piston valves before, but not with that design.

seems to be a nice design but thats now how a supah valve is made. i have pictures of a supah disassembled and it looks not like that. and a supah uses a piston not a diaphragm...

How would you go about making the diaphragm and what would you use for it?

supah valve is a chamber sealer not a barrel sealer, if i've read all those posts correctly.

nice easy diaphragm-in-a-tee valve.
might have to go get some 1 1/4 stock for a new sniper.

here is the site:

and a quote
Here are some schematic drawings of my Supah-Valve. I don't know if this is how the real one works, but I know for sure that it does work, and work it does !!! It is really easy to actuate, just a piece of high-pressure rubber tubing leading to your Blowgun, a couple of hose clips and you're done. Just pump it up and pull the trigger. Sorry Joel (from Spudtech, Inventor of the Supah-Valve) I just had to put it up. My one has the Inlet and Outlet around the other way for Safety, Comfort, and the main one - Strength.

That's not the real Supah Valve by the way. The real one was disassembled by Rmich I think and he took some pics for us, and there is a real diagram as well.

I've never seen an "authentic" Supah-Valve, anyone have a link?

Can't be bothered looking, search :P Do you mean the valve or the internals?

I found them a while ago on a Yahoo group. To my regret, I posted them.

If they're on the wiki, then good. Seeing as Spudtech isn't selling them anymore, I don't think it would do any harm to have the internals posted somewhere. Not unless you started building the same valve and selling it. Then your ass is at the mercy of the courts, because Joel still owns the original plans until he sells SpudTech.

EDIT - yup. Those are the pictures on the wiki. They're from a Yahoo group I found a while ago.

The only way anybody could get into trouble for reproducing and selling the Supra Valve is if Joel holds patents and copywrites. Every valve he built would also have to have those numbers stamped on/in them. Other wise, fair game!

And yet no one bothers to thank me for gathering all the pictures of the supah valve and adding them and the supah stats to the wiki.

tough crowd....
