Here is the car I promised, all painted and finished. It was unbelievably fast, and it won 1st place overall in my class. We did elimination rounds, and it never lost a race! The best time for the car was 1.236 seconds down a 65 ft, 7.5 inches. That is a 36.2 mph average time! My teacher said that it might have broken the school record, and no other cars in my class even came close. Oh, and drag in the wind tunnel was 28.6 grams, nowhere near what i would have expected(a bad thing), any theories? Here are some pictures:

The co2 puncturer seems to me pretty simple but really expensive, i cant find any less priced ones.

I made one of those in middle school. A twin rail and some hand carving on mine. Those suckers went FAST! We had the old 2 gate mechanical launcher. And we actually ran the whole thing. Its just a screw cuff on a metal "can" with a light spring to keep the pin in the back, set the neck of the Co2 inside, the hammer drops and slams that little point forward into the cap. The pin itself looks like it has a fender washer on it cept its all one piece.

Awsome looking car though, nice paint job too. Do I see some milling?
