I have posted a few things on this piston and i've been working on it for months. I still have a few questions.
Is there to mush volume behind the piston?
how tight should the piston be in the tee?
is the 1/2in ball valve too much for the piston or too little?
thanks everyone for helping me get this far.
ps. I know i went a little crazy with the primer
Piston finally almost finished!!!

Why is the ball valve so far away, the closer it is the less volume you'll have and the better it will work. If the piston fits tight enough then it should be sufficient as a pilot.

ok thanks
I was going to cut some of it off but I am still deciding about where I am going to attach the schrader

you can put the shrader anywhere behind the piston, preferably through a double layered section AKA where you glued 2 pieces together
The valve looks ok. I would scrap the make adapter and go fro a threaded plug with the schreader and the pilot tapped into it. If you have the scratch, you could also pilot with a modded sprinkler and give better performance and a more ergonomic handle. BTW, whats you piston made of?

i think I figured it out between the ball valve and the back of the piston I am going to have a tee and put teh schrader through an endcap in the tee.
The piston is made of hot glue it took about four sticks of hotglue to make it.
