sprinkler valve problems possibly solved!

Ive seen all the posts about how sprinkler valves leak and mine did too. I tried everything to fix it that the other members suggested. Still leaked, just last night I remembered that I had epoxy so I filled my solenoid hole with it.
Now there are absolutely no leaks from the valve. I know this only applies to people who still have the solenoid in but I thought that really didn't make much of a difference, but wow it can!

I thought I would post this because I haven't seen it anywhere else, sorry if someone already figured this out.

P.S. My gun has a lot more power now, It kicks like a real gun

Yeah this is pretty much covered in modding the valve tutorial, and has been round for a long time.

The only other leaks you get with sprinkler valves are through the barrel port, sometimes people put them on backwards, or get dust on the 'phragm or don't use enough pressure to get it to seal.

The only other leak i've heard of, is when it leaks through the side of the valve like mine did, the screws didn't seal the lid well enough.

Apart from that, epoxying the solenoid hole is general knowledge.

I didnt know this I just thought screwing in the solinoid was enough . good to know

No I have never had a solinoid pop out but I have had some problems with it losening itself out of the threads.

Dam I feel stupid I've read alot about these valves and never seen anything about epoxy fixing the barrel leak, sorry.

Why not just leave the solenoid in with some teflon tape? I just did 5 mins ago, test fired my cannon, and no leaks!

Because depending on your shooting style the solenoid can get in the way, with some sprinkler valve models it actually helps rest your hand, but some other models it's in the way.
