i found this while looking at schelkin spirals it has graphs,info,illustrations,a picture showing an apparatus for experimenting with ddt,and even a high speed image of ddt occurring in a clear tube!

i didn't read anything was hooked on the high speed image show thing. but that looks HOT suddenly it turned white. wonder how fast the sound would go in that temperature.

the part i found that was my fav was frame "X" that showed the explosions occurring just ahead of the flame front that apparently initiate ddt it was also surprising that just putting a shelkin spiral and closely monitoring fuel could cause ddt in an open tube apparently they got ddt in that apparatus with jet fuel,propane,hydrogen,gasoline,and some other fuels it was also cool how they compared initiation energies of ddt with air and ddt with oxygen they also compared high explosives and you can see that Acetylene is extremely easy to coax to ddt.
