G'day guys,

Looks like ol' Mitch still hasn't gotten sick of guns. I got given about 60 bucks worth of brass and gal and I've gotten really inspired. Not to mention I've come up with a good trigger and fill system.

Glue pistons are just shitting me off so I wanna try something else. Machining some solid rubber into a piston is one of my fav idea's but I've also thought of using Epoxy as one.

What does everyone reckon?

If I told you, i'd have to kill you. :)

As long as the rubber doesn't have too much friction, go for it. Otherwise to please the Efficiency Gods, go with the epoxy.

People have been getting good results with wooden dowel, maybe you could try that.

You haven't given up(your primal instinct prevails), Id say, maybe the solid rubber, or the same sort of thing schmanman used for his steel piston rifle gun, or a tap washer that Im going to use for my next gun (might be a little hard though, i'll just have to test it.)

I might be unwell but the mental database of amusing and vaguely related images remains ;)

Furry muff, i also bought some .22 lead slugs today, they fly rather well out out of the double shot with barrel mod (6mm acrylic tube). I just have to stop the barrel flying out when a sabot flares the skirt of a slug, blocks the barrel, and the barrel makes a hole in the target, that was funny!
