Thanks to everyone that helped ! :D

Woohoo. Can't wait till damage pics.

How much PSI are you charging it up to?

And what is the burst disc material that you're going to use?

Haha very nice. Some pics would be nice though, and a damage video :)

And why were you listening to Remember The Titans Soundtrack in the background? :D

Aluminum disks are gonna be the material,Lol the radio was on  I plan on maybe.. like.. 100-150 psi. I gotta test some other material like pop cans.

How thick are the disks, how much does the ammo weight, what does GGDT say, etc...?

I found it kind of interesting that all but one of the videos at the bottom after it finished playing were made by me... "Powerful Burst Disk Cannon", "Handheld Burst Disk Pneumatic", "Pneumatic Cannon", Pneumatic cannon damage 2", and "SCTBDCv1.5 Demo Video".

Not too sure about the size of the disks, Nor the weight of the ammo, But I will guess about a pound because it is a small billiards ball with nail to burst the disk...

Wait... How and why did you make the disks without knowing how thick they were?

How would I measure it? I don't have the toolfor such precise measuring (its about the same as paper?. And is it neccesary to measure it? Isn't that the idea of testing materials (I don't have GGDT, It dosnt work on my pc). :?:

You misunderstood my question. How many layers thick are they? I think household variety alu. foil is ~0.002" thick, but I've never found any definitive information on the subject.

Also, you really do need GGDT. How do you design guns without it? Do you have someone else that runs the program for you? That wouldn't be very efficient in a design session.

I don't understand? Are you saying you can't make a gun without having ggdt? I have made good guns without even knowing what ggdt was..

And you still never said how many layers thick the disks were...

You can certainly make a gun without GGDT, but you'll waste a lot more money on optimisations and R&D in general, and your guns won't turn out as well. Also, you'll constantly be asking questions and clogging up the forum with things that could be accomplished by a few clicks on GGDT. Constantly running simulations is the only way I've kept the cost of the SCTBDC manageable, really.

If you have the knowledge to run all the calculations GGDT does on your own, then congratulations.

that looks pretty nice im thinking about making one myself but i don't no what material to use for a burst disk. i tried plastic wrap but i don't think i held the pressure back that well so if you have any ideas i would appreciate it.

Dude. why are you getting mad at me? I can't load it.. it won't let me.. Whats the forum for If I can't ask questions.. I never shot it yet so I don't know how many layers I will need.

DYI wants to know how many layers of aluminum foil do you use for the burst disks. That's all.

i make all my gunds without GGDT and they all turn out well.
I am all for making guns cheap because of the amount of money I have and i can do that without GGDT you just need to do a little reasearch and a lot of planning.

and counterstricker, nice gun Im assuming it is that same one discussed of that other tread.
