plexiglass sounds slicker than the wood I'm using, give it a shot, I'd just like to see the design get acomplished
I should be testing soon but I'm still making tweaks

The thing I like most about this design is the lack of need for perfect seals. I'm a little concerned about the tweaking it might take to get a good amount of flow and making it blowback. I'm excited to see if this works because it's something a lot of people can build (I think...).
Edit: New Idea - On the bottom bolt and think you should extend it so it always stays in it's shaft in the block of wood. To let the air just drill some holes in the bolt so it can vent. Letting it come of the shaft could cause some jamming issues.

Looks good! I tried making something similar to this from wood. But its not as easy as it sounds. Problems might be allignment, wood splinters etc. Best would be making this from epoxy. I would look at stackedtube paintball markers. As the dimensions of the blowback cylinder , the spring tension and the opperation pressure are really important. Good luck!
