Would this hold the title of the biggest supressor on this site?

It has a 100mm (4") outer casing 1m long and a 40mm (1.5") pipe running through it that is 130cm long. there is 30 16mm holes spaced down the barrel. The outer casing is held onto the pipe by dwv fittings as i didnt realy feel like shelling out 50$ per fitting. i also did not glue it because i wanted to be able to take it apart it and because its a proof of concept for me.

It is stuffed with 7 or 8 cotton T shirts which i may change for actual insulation later.

Enough talk here are the pictures. :D

its not pretty but it works well just ask Watto :D

EDIT: first vid is without supressor on watto's 'Thunder Down Under' and second is with it on.

Finally, someone who understands that bigger is better when it comes to suppressors :D

Have you tried it with and without the t-shirt packing to see which is the most effective? If I were you I'd find a way of including a few baffles in the system too.

Videos with sound to illustrate the difference?

Yeh me and carl just got back from range testing my gun with that suppressor on it's amazing almost no noise at all, the range test was inconclusive but we're going back tomorrow with a video cam a golf ball with a streamer on it, some full milk bottles and hopefully some tvs.

@jsr. Videos with sound will be up tomorro, yes and I would have made it twice as big if it fitted in my boot, I got all this pipe free so I was just using what I had, I my do a baffle type later as it worked very well for my old marble gun.
I will try with and without t shirts and am planning on putting sound insulation I thr !

@ILTBU. I don't like the ducttape either but I was going for a functioning prototype and once I find the right design I will glue it all up and a slap of paint!

@watto. Can't wait mate !!

Nice!

My current suppressor is 4" ID but only about 14" long, and fits on a 2" drilled barrel. It works pretty well, but not as well as this yours. I've been thinking about ways of stuffing it with maybe felt donuts so it will work better. Right now, it's loaded with chunks of foam rubber and bits of packing fabric.

G'day fellow west Aussie i got your pm

i was surprised how well that worked well done.

think it would make a difference on this cannon?
chamber 150mm x 500mm
barrel 50mm x 1000mm
even for a combustion it is awesomely loud (ears ringing for 5 mins)
