I found some .625 blowgun darts online. I later found that they fit in 1/2" electrical conduit. I later found that 1/2" electrical conduit fits in a paintball barrel I have.
So I figured if I crank up the velocity on my pb gun, I'll have a little weapon that packs quite a punch.
Problem: Fixing the conduit inside barrel means I'll have to muzzleload. That takes time and it's a pain in my ass. Especially when I might need a quick followup shot (to.. uhh... make sure that soda can is definitely dead)
Got any ideas for a simple breechloader? I would like to avoid cutting a groove out of the barrel and making a "bolt-action" design. I don't have the means to cut it neatly. If it's not neat, I don't bother. That's my OCD. I like quick-disconnects. I also like the idea of a revolver mechanism.
Beneficial coincidences

Are you talking about a homemade paintball gun or a proper one?
If you are talking about the former, I do have an idea of what you could do. I'll show you when I post my new cannon today, easier to explain it.

That's what I would suggest, if you have a Tippmann you could buy a stock barrel for a bt-4 combat (8" long) for less than 10 dollars (probably).frankrede wrote:buy a crap barrel online and mod it

I have a paintball gun and I want to make it fire premade, .625 blowgun darts. I'm asking how to breechload it. (I don't want to have to muzzleload it.)
I have the dart barrel already. It fits perfectly inside my paintball gun's barrel... like a sleeve.
I didn't realize the typo in my original post.

hmm...well I guess if you want to keep on unscrewing it and screwing it (no pun intended) then you have a breech loader.lol. But it seems that right now, muzzle loading looks like your only way
"Dude, if all of the people on spudfiles got together with all of their cannons, we could take over china"
wow is there any connection to the cannon i just posted firing .625 darts? btw if you would like something that slites into the barrel of the blowgun 1/2 inch copper works quite well for this, thats what i used on my dart bolt action.
the blowdarts make a very nice accurate projectile too!!
umm this would work http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/update- ... 14657.htmlpvcpsyco wrote:hmm...well I guess if you want to keep on unscrewing it and screwing it (no pun intended) then you have a breech loader.lol. But it seems that right now, muzzle loading looks like your only way

I didn't think of 1/2" copper. Might have to give that a try.
So the darts are accurate? That's even better.
