Does anyone have a good design for a spud gun tripod? Preferabley mobile or easily transported, and made out of relitively easy to find materials.

Im shooting for somthing that would have 360 degrees of rotation, and at least some up-down movement.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

You can use the swivel mechanism from an old chair, as for up-down ability...you may need to work out some kind of hinge system. A camera tripod works too, but I don't know how well those work with bigger cannons and larger recoil.

for a good gun tripod you want it low to the ground and to have leg close to the ground with leg(s) swept back
2 legs swept back gives a wider horizontal angle of support for recoil

1 leg swept back is l little lighter and some what easier to make

While not specifically designed with recoil in mind, a dobs mount has the movement you wish, and can be built from readily sourced materials.

If one were to make the base wider and lower, it should handle some recoil.
