What replaces the solenoid?

I bought a modded sprinkler valve from Joel recently and didn't get the solenoid with it and I saw some type of glue init's place, does anyone know what kind of glur is and why it's there?

It's just whatever type of epoxy Joel uses to seal up the hole. When you remove the solenoid, there is a hole there and it needs to be sealed. When you mod a sprinkler valve usually you remove the solenoid so it doesn't get in the way. It will still work fine.

ok thanks PCG, now all I need to do is just but my own once I find them in my area, (you've probobly read my troubles on the spudtech forums
