I am planing on making a bolt action similar to this onehttp://www.spudfiles.com/forums/deus-ex ... t8418.html And i also wanted to be abel to keep firing on one fill. My Cb ratio in going to be 1:1 and my barrel will be 2 feet and 5 inches of 1/2in. pipe, i am going to have a check valve in between the main chamber and the mini chamber. I also am limited to about 140psi. How big would i need my main chamber to be to get 5 shots, filling the mini chamber to 80psi. You also have to consider that the firs shot will already be filled, since the check valve will open as i fill the main chamber.
I asked a similar question awhile ago. I will have to find it.
Edit: This may help.http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/air-tan ... 15739.html

so if i did that the number would be the number of shots i could get at 80psi. Sorry i have to ask i don't really understand the formulas on the thread to well, Im only 12 lol.(volume of tank*tank pressure)/(volume of chamber*chamber pressure)
Edit: i did that math and it said i would get six shots wich is enough for me, but i still dont even know if i am doing the math right.

No. What you need is this:dudeman508 wrote:so if i did that the number would be the number of shots i could get at 80psi
# of shots = (Volumetank*(Pressuretank-Pressurechamber)) / (Volumechamber*Pressurechamber)
The chamber pressure needs to be considered when it's such a large proportion of the tank pressure.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

@jon_89 - Probably not, I think i just looked for the simplest formula to understand.
@Ragnarok- Thanks that will help
Edit: i was just thinking about this today, If i used a sprinkler valve would i have to factor in the air wasted closing the valve.
