For my breech loading launcher I plan to drill a hole big enough for a tennis ball to be loaded in the barrel and have a sleeve made from a piece of three inch pipe or a 2 1/2 inch coupler slide over the hole. I know there are people who have used this used before but how well does it work? Will there be a significant amount of air leakage? Any ideas on how to seal this up a little better?

;)

Making sure it is tight (duct tape) or even better: o-rings will stop leakage.
Note that even if there is a tiny bit of leakage, this is acceptable due to the very short time of leaking. Beware that when hot air rushes through a leak on a combustion gun things may melt/burn.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!
