It looks like the inside of a sprinkler valve. Are you suggesting using it as one? If so, aren't they really small? Also can you post some pics of the other pieces?

Thanks but would it work as a sp valve with the parts it comes with or would you have to make some? I know it would take at least some modification.

Yes, you'd have to make a piston for it, most probably, or modify the diaphragm that comes with it.
Also, you'd have to cap it off with a cap made for pressure. I've found that 1" NPT caps fit on the external threads decently, and with some teflon should seal, but I haven't tested this at pressure yet.

Ok thanks for the info. I might try this soon.

I know spudding is innovation but the cheapest regulators I've seen are 15~20 dollars so you could get a sprinkler valve cheaper...

The have cheap off-brand regs for five bucks sometimes. They are also alot smaller than sp valves and would be good for bb guns.

Then I realised it was just nice berber(?) carpet.
Pretty cool find, somehow it could be modded into a high pressure valve(?) 8)
BTW, @Jonnyboy awesome sig!!! although a little spooky.
EDIT: I recently had to get into a program(s) because of an assualt charge I hopefully won't go to jail for, and on the stupid paperwork, it had boxes for male, female, or "transgendered"
It was almost more shocking than the local yellow pages full page ad with bold letters that boast "Abortions up to 24 weeks"...I hate the stupid city I live in...But the law is like the three legged creatures of "war of the worlds" (not very good movie but...)... [/rant]

I just picked up one very similar today, then logged in to find this. Great minds must think alike 8). Hadn't thought about using it as a valve though. I wonder how much pressure it can take (minus plastic of course)?
