i am putting a scope on a 5/8 copper pipe and i need to know will this fit on tight or is it to big?

here is what im looking at

id say ur a couple of mill off there ,nothing a couple of turns of black tape cant help,,nice find btw,now i want one

ha yea so if it was tightened all the way it wont be strong on there?

like u said it probly wont be tight ,but u can use a simple sleeve or something to get it to grip ,without being ghetto like..

5/8 is in that range.
your problem is in the scope rings 1" =25.4. too small by a little for most scopes.

it looks like they have a stick on shim on the bottom of the ring to shim to 1"in the ebay pic.

maybe .

if not

If you had a ring to swap out probably would be best, easiest way to change ring size

lapping the ring w/ a sandpaper covered dowel or rod another way.
