That looks like a conventional retained petal burst disk to me.

What happened to the pusher plate design which blows out a whole intact disk?

No clue.

When the Navy shut down the Long Beach shipyard they had to do SOMETHING with all the steel they had lying around. We got a thousand tons or something like that (I'm guessing). Everything from deck plating to pipe to armor plate to I-beams. We use it for... Well, whatever we need. Have been for something like 15 years. :lol:
