hi guys first time poster here. i have a question about a propane volume chamber for my mini spud gun. would i get better efficiency(more shots) if the volume chamber is mounted horizontally or vertically? not sure if it would make a difference? i think i could store more liquid if it was vertical but still i'm not sure. my mini spud gun is just in the planning stages.[/img]

Been thanked: 1 time

is the propane volume chamber a coleman propane cylinder or a homeade device?

Regardless, it really makes no difference. People on this site have mounted them in almost every way possible.

its a clippard 2 inch long volume chamber with a 1 3/4 diam. i am going for compactness. I wasnt sure if i could yield more propane liquid if it was vertical or horizontal. but I suppose it will fill up either way. right?

The more vertical the better...the more upside down the worse. There's more chance of liquidized gas clogging the plumbing that way.

would a setup like this be ok? horizontal is really easy to build and stream line. the blue in the pic is the liquid propane. i never thought of the liquid freezing the components thanks!!!
