Whenever I log into the chatroom, I get an automatic message written by "myself", inquiring "can you read this message?".

Not a big problem, I'd just like to rest assured that Neo isn't trying to contact me. :roll:

Not bad for a semi-eventful night, Gort and I were playing around with the different moderator controls. I can change the text, but not sure how to remove it. I'm a noob.

FYI that message is just the MOTD (Message Of The Day). I had never set one and it can be set by mods, so recently it first got used and the mods now know about it and the other detailed chat-room commands so it will now be taken advantage of.
Yes, I am the guy that owns & operates SpudFiles (along with our extremely helpful moderators).
