What is the gray box? Is there an advantage to using it?

It looks like a QEV with some sort of homemade pushbutton valve for a pilot.

It would help a lot to know who/where you got that picture from.

Its a qev he says so in his post. The push button valve pilots it. I believe it is a mead qev. hopefully mitchza will correct me if im wrong.
Yeah, it's that important.

it's just a QEV.... as you can see the valve is machined from a block of aluminium... a lot of different valves are built in this way
