I'm trying to figure out if I could use camlock fittings on a tee piston valve to make the valve serviceable. I'm not very familiar with camlock fittings and would just order some and see if it works but I don't have the money just to see if it works.

Would it be possible to thread a camlock fitting like this

onto a small end piece of a pipe like this

and then socket-weld the other end into a tee like this

Mainly what I'm concerned about is if those pipe sizes would be compatible and also if that camlock fitting would allow the entire inner pipe area to be exposed (so the piston will actually fit through this fitting and snugly against the pipe that it travels in).

Then on the back of that you would just use a part like this connected to whatever pilot valve you want

It's possible, but you could get the same results by just using a threaded male and female plug, which would also be smaller profile and cheaper.

I've used threaded plugs in the past, which work, but I've had trouble with them leaking, especially after screwing and unscrewing several times. I'm looking for something more consistent and more easily detachable, so the back can be taken off for storage.
