another portable bbmg

I built another portable bbmg. The air tank is 2 2 liter soda bottles so it is a 1 gallon tank, the hopper is a pill bottle and the barrel is a bic pen. My valve is a blowgun and the range is about 100- 130ft at 60 psi and I can get about 8 seconds of fire on the tank. the cannon has a good rate of fire at least 40 rounds per second. The gun will not go through a can at 60 psi but it will dent it badly, I am guessing that it is shooting about 200- 250 fps on 60 psi and I will take it to 90 tonight with a compressor and no tank. Do you think that the 1/4in od clear vinyl tubing is restricting flow?

Can you post the pictures here? And dont worry about the tubing, the blowguns already restricting the flow to under 1/4 inch.

about 30 minutes ago, do you know how to resize photos on iphoto or some website becasue the files are too big.

ok thanks, I just hooked it up to a compressor at 100 psi and the blowgun which is glued on just broke off. At 100psi it can go through one side of an empty soda can

A longer barrel will do wonders in terms of power, just pick up a piece of 9/32 brakeline at you local auto store

yeah I will if I can manage to fix it, but I think I will just build another gun I want to build a gun that is a little lighter on air and ammo.

I love the fact that it's portable! so many times I see amazing looking cannons and then get really depressed realising that they have to be hooked up to a big heavy unatractive compressor
it may be ghetto but I like it. GOOD JOB!

thanks It is just another sprare parts gun and it only cost $2 for the blowgun and 1 for the schrader, does anybody know a good pipe to sleeve pen tubes in?

I know but my next gun isn't going to be ghetto. it is actually going to be neatly built instead of messy ghetto. Is there a barrel that you can buy at homedepot?
