Bonding plastic to metal
Since epoxy is good on plastics, and JB Weld is good on metals, would mixing the two bond plastic to metal? I was thinking of a sort of marble pattern to lock the two epoxies together. Any suggestions?

Epoxy is good on metals as well. Just go with the one epoxy. Rough up both surfaces to be bonded and have fun.

Ok, because last time I used epoxy on metal, it was brass, and it didn't adhere good. I guess roughening would help though.

Most epoxy works very well on metals including brass, but be sure to prepare a clean surface. Rough it up with sandpaper and use acetone to get rid of any oils that might be on the surface.

JB Weld is an epoxy adhesive.
Mixing adhesives with different curing properties isn't a good idea, as suggested above go with one adhesive and ensure the surfaces are adequately prepared.

What plastic do you want to bond to metal?
Because there a several (thermo-) plastics, that can't (or are difficult to) be bonded, even with epoxy
...
They are mostly (but not limited to):
Polyethylene (PE),
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET),
Polypropylene (PP),
Polyoxymethylene (POM),
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, Teflon)
