Actually it would be fairly easy to make all you need to do it modify a semi-auto pistol to work automaticly using blowback gases and install a much larger magazine.

Very easily said....

All you need to do is completely redesign the pistol and manufacture it from scratch. Easy to make? Bullshit

Ben, thats bullshit.

Do you have ANY IDEA how hard that would be? Tell me exactly what parts you'd "modify" to make a glock or comparable pistol fully automatic, much less run off of gas blowback.

Name another modern pistol other than the desert eagle that is gas operated (and no, the pistol versions of rifles like the AR don't count).

Excepting people who have a class 3 manufacturing permit, making/modifing a full-auto weapon is illegal on the federal level. And even said class 3 manufacturers can't sell them; only recievers (or is it the sear? I forget) manufactured before 1989 ('86?) can be transfered.

Unfortunatly for jrrdw, this means that fully automatic weapons cost multiple thousands of dollars.

But who cares? Fully-automatic rifles are a waste of ammo in almost all situations (and a large amount of military training involves getting solgiers not to lay on the trigger), and fully-automatic pistols even more so.

i agree with neospud, saying that you can create an automatic weapon from a semi automatic gun is far from simple. it requires ALOT of time and skill. it would probly be easier to just make it from scratch, if your a metal worker that is.

Ill come flat out and admit im not a "gun" guy, because I only have a .22. Although ive heard that some pistols are simple as shortening a pin. Im pretty sure thats what you do on the AK-47, but I belive it will work in some pistols. Couple of my brothers freinds have auto-pistols (personally witnessed) Now from this I can determine that the mod is extremly simple (because there not that smart), or they bought it from the Mexicans.

ehm.. 1 hand gun that is fully auto is the uzi. you all think it isn't a hand gun but its the same length of a handgun and it fires the same bullets.

also there is a handgun that can fire full auto, i don't know how its called but it
can fire semi, burst of 3 and full auto. it has a wood grip and a fore grip.

grts.

(btw if i want a gun it would be a m1 thompson ore a glock 17)
